Job Description:
Meade Engineering is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of our projects. This role is responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring technical excellence, and maintaining client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP systems, project management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Job Duties:
- Manage and oversee the planning, design, and execution of MEP systems for various projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet project goals and deadlines.
- Review and approve MEP designs, specifications, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Lead meetings with project teams, contractors, and clients to facilitate communication and decision-making.
- Ensure all MEP systems meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and sustainability goals.
- Assist in procurement activities, including evaluating vendors, reviewing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation for internal and client use.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in MEP project management within engineering, construction, or data center environments
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and industry best practices
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore, Teamwork, or equivalent
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification is a plus
