Job Description:
MEI is seeking a VDC Coordinator to support our virtual design and construction efforts. This role will focus on implementing and managing VDC processes to enhance project delivery through the integration of digital technologies. The VDC Coordinator will work collaboratively with project teams to drive efficiency, innovation, and coordination. This position can be based in Phoenix, Arizona, or Austin, Texas.
Job Duties:
- Work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate VDC methodologies into project planning and execution.
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D models that meet project requirements.
- Support the evaluation and adoption of new VDC technologies and software to enhance project efficiency.
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital tools to improve project visualization and collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements for all VDC activities.
- Conduct periodic reviews of VDC processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Assist in training project teams and stakeholders on VDC processes and tools.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to contribute to the company's VDC framework.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in VDC/BIM coordination within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in VDC/BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with construction processes, codes, and regulations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
