Facilities Maintenance Manager

This is a hands-on position. Our facility is small, so you will be a one-person show, responsible for performing all basic maintenance duties as required. Highly technical repairs will be contracted out.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of the facility, grounds, and equipment
• Performs general maintenance work daily, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, basic HVAC and appliances
• Conducts and documents safety tests
• Conducts inspections of the building's interior and exterior. Inspects storage rooms, work rooms, utility closets, etc., to assure that equipment is available and working correctly
• Trains and educates staff on safety, emergencies, and legal requirements
• Understands and ensures compliance with the laws and regulations governing healthcare facilities
• Maintains positive relationships with residents and staff

Requirements

• Minimum one year of commercial/industrial facilities maintenance experience required
• Prior healthcare facility maintenance experience preferred
• Prior experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, repairs, or equivalent technical knowledge
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Must be fluent in English
• High school diploma or equivalent
