What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cemetery Lawn Mower position at Meadow Green Memorial Park?
Meadow Green Memorial Park is currently seeking a cemetery lawn mower. This position is seasonal in nature, and is generally available between the months of April and November each year. Seasonal employment does not guarantee any future employment with Meadow Green Memorial Park, or any other division of our company.
Duties for lawn mowers at Meadow Green Memorial Park will include:
- Mowing lawn – each mower will start in a designated area and duties will be complete for the week when the entire cemetery is mowed, or maximum hours have been reached.
- Removing branches, debris and live flowers that have wilted from the cemetery grounds
- Removing and delivering to main office unapproved flowers and adornments from grave sites, and including memorial marker information
- Occasional assistance with weed control, and trimming of branches to ensure proper mowing capabilities
- Reporting any damage and equipment maintenance issues to office immediately
- Daily care of equipment and storage facility
Generally lawn mowers will work approximately 20 hours per week. Hours each week are not guaranteed, and may be based on staff availability, needs of the business, and weather conditions. Total hours worked by any one seasonal employee are not to exceed 29 per week. Seasonal employees do not quality for company benefits.
Mowing experience is required. Mowing around cemetery markers requires proper equipment handling skills, and the interview process will be interactive.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
