Pro Shop Attendant

Position Summary:

Meadow Lake Golf Club is seeking an enthusiastic Pro Shop Attendant who will also serve as a Bartender, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will be a friendly, customer-focused individual with a passion for golf and the hospitality industry. This role requires a blend of retail, customer service, and bartending skills, as you will be responsible for assisting golfers with their pro shop needs while also serving drinks and maintaining a high standard of service at the bar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist golfers with merchandise, rental equipment, and any general inquiries.
• Maintain an organized and clean pro shop, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed and stocked.
• Process transactions for sales of golf rounds, gear, and accessories.
• Maintain and prepare golf carts for use by players and ensure they are ready for play.
• Book tee times and manage the daily golf course schedule.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Support during golf tournaments, events, and promotions.
• Provide excellent service at the bar, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked.
• Engage with guests, creating a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere in the bar area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
• Bartending experience, including knowledge of drink preparation and service standards is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage customers and resolve issues effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with golf, golfing equipment, and the overall golf experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old, preferably over 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions when needed.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time/full-time position. Weekend and evening availability is required, particularly during golf tournaments and busy seasons.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay will commensurate with experience.
• In addition to your hourly wage, this position offers the opportunity to earn tips based on customer service and performance, providing the potential for increased earnings.
