Meadow Lakes is seeking a Laundry Worker to join our team!
Meadow Lakes is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in East Windsor, NJ. We are in search of a part-time Laundry Worker to join our team. At Springpoint, our Laundry Workers are responsible for maintaining linen for all areas of the community and assure us that an adequate supply of linen is always on hand to meet the needs of the residents. For this position, it may also be asked that you cover housekeeping assignments on our Skilled Nursing Units.
Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day laundry functions and specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures.
- Collect, sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas.
- Sort, count, and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc. in accordance with established procedures.
- Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. to residents daily and/or as instructed.
- During emergency situations, ensure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc. are distributed to designated areas as instructed.
- Clean work area, supply carts, equipment, etc. as necessary/directed.
- Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
- Honor the residents’ personal and property rights.
- Report complaints of missing property to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Turn in all found articles to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Adhere to the infection control standards of the department.
- Follow all safety procedures of the department and facility.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No experience required – on-the-job training provided!
