What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at Meadow View Nursing Center?
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Greet visitors - provide assistance, information and directions
- Answer telephone - provide information, transfer calls to proper department or individual
- Provide assistance to residents
- Use intercom to page individuals and make announcements
- Use intercom to announce emergency situations, fire / disaster drills and testing of fire alarm system
- Contact designated individuals during emergency situation as directed by Administration or nursing supervisor
- Sort and stamp date mail
- Complete clerical and typing assignments
- Record information : donations and other information as required
- Accept deliveries
- Sell dinner reservations to residents' guests
- Filing
- Have ability to manage stress tolerance, pressure and anxiety
- Complete other related work as assigned.
Confidentiality and friendliness required. Technology (multi line business phone, email, spreadsheets, and typing) preferred,
Weekend and evening hours; approximately 16-20 hours per week. Holidays included.
Hours are 3p-7p Monday through Friday (as needed) and 10a-7p Saturdays and Sundays (as needed)
