Meadowbrook Academy is currently seeking to hire an Assistant Princpal for an immediate opening for the 24/25 school year. This individual should be an active and dedicated Christian who is a member of Meadowbrook Church (MBC) or willing to become one. QUALIFICATIONS:
· Education - Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from an accredited college or university.
· Experience - Minimum of three (3) years successful classroom teaching experience.
· Computer Skills – Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology, as required for the position.
· Other Requirements - Knowledge of current educational trends and research.

JOB GOAL:
· To aid the Principal in providing leadership and vision necessary to create a culture conducive to students learning at the highest possible level and assist in the operation of all aspects of the school.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist in the development, implementation and assessment of the instructional program.
· Assist in the administration of the testing program.

· Assist in the development of the Master Schedule and assignment of staff.
· Assist in developing the best possible environment for teaching and learning.
· Supervise assigned personnel, conduct annual performance appraisals, and make recommendations for appropriate employment actions.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
· Engage in individual spiritual growth activities (i.e. Bible study, Small Group, morning devotions)
· Engage in continuing professional growth and keep abreast of recent developments in education through in-service, classes, and/or research (30 hours per academic year).
· Develop and implement an Individual Professional Development Plan.
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· Model professional and ethical standards consistent with the Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct of Education Professionals in Florida.
· Perform and fulfill all professional responsibilities.
· Support school improvement initiatives.
· Recognize overt indicators of student distress or abuse and take stipulated action based on school procedures and law.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Light physical exertion on rare occasions as needed for moving objects or assisting students.
· Light Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
· Salary and benefits shall be paid 12 months out of the year.
· Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Administration.
