What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hot Line – A.M. position at Meadowbrook Country Club?
Meadowbrook Country Club is looking for an AM Line Cook. Hours will be 5 days a week, 7 am to 3 pm. Duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chefs with setting up stations based upon menu and daily party. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction through high quality food and contributing to team satisfaction through positive “can do” attitude.

Job purpose
Cook position that can prepare delicious meals according to menu. Result of food preparation should delight our members and guests through superior taste and timely delivery. Essential purpose of position is to produce credible, creative, and consistent food.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for setting line based on menus from Executive Chef and direction of AM Sous Chef to execute lunch service. Capable of plating when slow and in absence on AM Sous Chef.
- Daily tasks include heating of soups and sauces, prep of specials based on AM sous, staff meal, cleanliness of station before and throughout service and proper, stocking of hot line freezer (fries, chips, etc.) breakdown of line after service.
- Bulk tasks in charge of include FO croutons, turkey burgers, assorted soups, and sauces.
- Personal cart, cooler and line organization through proper cleaning techniques is essential.
- All other duties as assigned by the Sous Chefs and Executive Chef.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate has background in culinary industry. Must of at least 3 years of culinary experience.
- Presents a positive, professional image. Must be self-motivated and customer service oriented.
- Reliable and predictable attendance. Position requires ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and long days especially during the summer season.
- Proof of Hep A vaccination required.
Working conditions
Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid condition, moving mechanical parts, extreme cold and extreme heat.
Physical requirements
Frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to cut, handle, or peel ingredients; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
Ability to lift to 40 lbs. unassisted and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
