Job Overview
We are seeking a positive, service-orientated, energetic and self-motivated Houseman to join our team. The Houseman plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of events by preparing and maintaining banquet and clubhouse facilities. This position involves setting up and breaking down event spaces, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and assisting with various tasks to facilitate smooth operations during events.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Prepare banquet spaces for events according to specifications, including setting up tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
- Ensure all equipment and supplies are in good working condition and set up in accordance to event requirements.
- Assist in breakdown of events, including clean up, storage of tables, chairs, equipment and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas, storage spaces, and common areas.
- Support waitstaff with food and beverage service as needed.
- Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in banquet setup is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
