- Help patients with therapeutic exercises to build strength and endurance
- Help patients regain motion and ease pain
- Use massage
- Help patients fit and adjust medical gear such as braces
- Record patients' progress
- Report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist
- Educate patients about their treatment
