Weekend/Evening Laundry Attendant
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Weekend/Evening Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. This role is vital in ensuring that our guests have a pleasant experience through the maintenance of clean and fresh linens, towels, banquet linens, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines.
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, towels, and staff uniforms according to hotel standards.
- Inspect laundry for stains or damage and take appropriate action, including treating stains as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good working order.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and promptly notify management of any shortages.
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed and as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team and management regarding any issues or concerns.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavy loads of laundry.
- Must be able to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude while working as part of a team.
