Meadowbrook Manor of LaGrange is now hiring a Director of Nursing to join our team.
The Director of Nursing is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing operations within a healthcare facility. This position requires a dynamic individual who can manage nursing staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintain high standards of patient care. The Director of Nursing will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and foster a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
- Oversee staffing ensuring compliance with staffing requirements
- Review re-hospitalization trends.
- Oversee organizational structure.
- Perform administrative duties: Auditing electronic health record, completing forms, compiling reports, performance evaluations, charting, etc.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Proficient in developing and implementing nursing systems that enhance operational efficiency.
- Exceptional supervisory skills, fostering a positive work environment while holding staff accountable.
- Excellent organizational skills for shift management and scheduling.
- Familiarity with medical records management practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with healthcare professionals at all levels.
- Illinois RN license - Active & Unencumbered
- Minimum 5 yrs managerial experience working within a Skilled Nursing facility.
- Thorough knowledge of JACHO, OBRA, IDPH and HFS regulation
- In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care
- Knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Ability to lead and develop personnel
- Current CPR Certification.
