Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a customer focused front desk receptionist, who enjoys working in a fast pace environment.
JOB SUMMARY : The receptionist performs reception and clerical duties for the department. Facilitates department coordination by channeling communication for nursing staff, physicians, administrative and other departments.
Job Description :
- Answering all incoming calls within three rings and in a conscientious manner.
- Routes all calls to appropriate departments.
- Takes and communicates all messages for all therapy and administrative personnel when unavailable.
- Locates personnel to answer questions and inquiries regarding client status, services provided, staffing issues, etc.
- Pages staff, clients and visitors when appropriate.
- Places hospital related calls for staff and clients.
- Monitors phone system for usage and problems and notifies appropriate personnel when problems arise.
- Greets clients, visitors, physicians and hospital personnel in a courteous manner and directs them to appropriate areas.
- Schedules conference rooms for meetings and tours.
- Notifies staff of arrival of appointments, families, or special guests.
- Directs new employees or applicants to appropriate department.
- Arranges federal express and UPS deliveries and pickups.
- Distributes by-monthly payroll to hospital personnel.
- Efficiently tracks all incoming monies for meals, postage, etc.
Miscellaneous
QUALIFICATIONS :
1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Ability to work well and in close proximity to other people, and to work well under stress.
3. Must be neat, well groomed and comply with hospital dress code.
4. Neat and legible handwriting.
5. Computer skills a must.
