Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, including shift differentials and bonuses.
Job Description:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate CMA who can provide routine nursing care while ensuring the accurate administration of medications. As a member of our team, you will work closely with our Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator to maintain the highest standard of resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in administering medications to residents on your assigned unit
- Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, religious services, and other appointments
- Accurately prepare and administer medications, following established policies and procedures
- Assist residents with proper hygiene, including bathing, and encourage self-help measures and activities
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to the role of a Certified Medication Aide during every shift
- Present a professional image to our residents and their families through your attire, behavior, and communication
Qualifications:
- Current CMA Certification: You must hold a valid certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
- Language Proficiency: The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Compassion and Patience: CMAs should exhibit patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, along with a willingness to cater to residents at their specific maturity levels
