What are the responsibilities and job description for the Out Patient Physical Therapy Front Desk - PART TIME Evenings position at Meadowlands Hospital Medical Center?
JOB DUTIES:
- Welcome patients, vendors, and other visitors to our office
- Answer phone lines and respond to emails accordingly
- Provide assistance to patients
- Track authorized visits daily to ensure no lapse in coverage or treatment
- Check patients in upon arrival to appointment
- Schedule and Register patients in our EMR systems (WebPT, Meditech)
- Collect copays, assist with balance inquiries
- Create and organize patient charts and documents
- Provide intake paperwork, review insurance benefits/patient responsibility
- Scan patient information into WebPT and any other EMR, including prescriptions, intake forms, authorizations, imaging, and other documentation
- Obtain patient scripts by communicating with other offices/physicians
- Keep a neat and clean workspace and waiting room
- Request cleaning supplies, clean linen, water and other supplies as needed from various departments within the hospital
- Communicate pertinent information with therapists/other office staff
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Customer Service/Medical Office experience
Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred
Great interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work individually and as part of a team
