Dining Services Manager

Job Summary
The Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dining operations within our establishment. This leadership role requires a strong focus on food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in food handling, kitchen management, and inventory control while demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the dining services team, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service.
• Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Develop menus that meet dietary needs while maximizing quality and presentation.
• Train and supervise staff in food handling techniques, kitchen operations, and customer service standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall dining experience for guests.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of dining services staff, providing feedback and support for professional development.
• Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a leadership role within the food service industry, preferably as an assistant manager or similar position.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
• Experience in inventory control and kitchen management is essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
