Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as necessary.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooks.
- Ensure that all items are properly stored after washing to prevent contamination.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas as assigned.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- Experience with banquet service or culinary operations can enhance your application.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
