Division Support of Meadowood Mission:
To offer the warmest welcome to all guests, members and employees, ensuring that the responsibilities set out in the Guest Service Manager Program are constantly fulfilled.
Position Summary:
To personally greet all visitors and clearly direct them to the correct destination, and follow up by calling arrival information to other departments. To maintain records of keys issued and to report and document security incidents.
Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:
- In the absence of the Gatekeeper / Greeter, greets all incoming visitors with a warm, friendly welcome and ascertains the purpose of their arrival.
- Announces to the Bell Person by radio, all guest arrivals by check-in number, name and description of vehicle.
- Directs visitors and vendors to various parts of the property.
- Requires permits from employee’s for tools or material taken from the premises.
- Issues keys to authorized employees.
- Patrols, periodically, buildings and grounds of the Resort.
- Examines doors, windows and gates to determine that they are secure.
- Warns violators of the rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious acts.
- Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and doors left unlocked.
- Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property and may inspect packages or handbags as necessary.
- Writes incident reports as outlined in the Standard of performance Manual.
- Administers First Aid.
- Calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or criminal activity.
- Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the Resort entrance to maintain an orderly flow.
- Provides after hours engineering, private dining and housekeeping service.
Personal Characteristics:
- Should have a warm and friendly nature, be open minded, caring and non-judgmental.
Experience Required:
Prior security training and/or hospitality experience preferred.
Education, Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates and a valid California Driver’s License with a clean DMV record.
Special Skills/Abilities Required:
Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)/Interpersonal Skills:
- Should be able to communicate and complete reports in English
Reasoning Ability:
- Must be able to make decisions and perform tasks efficiently without supervision, based on logic and sound judgment.
