Duties
- Conduct legal research utilizing tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy.
- Draft legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist in the representation of clients in various legal matters, ensuring compliance with tribal law regulations and other relevant statutes.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases, providing insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis.
- Maintain organized case files and documentation within the law office environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and court appearances as required.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar association or eligibility for admission.
- Strong knowledge of immigration law, estate planning, securities law, and tribal law regulations is preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis.
- Excellent legal drafting skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Prior experience in a law office setting is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
