What are the responsibilities and job description for the NURSE PRACTITIONER - PULM/ICU - Full Time position at Meadville Medical Center?
Conducts patient visits in the ICU or Pulmonology Office. Ensure Patients are seen in a timely manner and provided professional care while documentation is complete and accurate.
Plans appropriate follow up care.
Assists physicians with procedures as appropriate. Procedures may include but are not limited to central line, intubation, arterial line, chest tube / pigtail catheters, lumbar puncture, etc.
Follows physician direction and orders while patient safety protocols are adhered to, as are Infection Control policies.
Establishes preliminary diagnoses under the direction of the supervising physician as per guidelines.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Graduate of a nationally accredited and / or state approved PAC or CRNP educational program approved by the American Medical Association.
Pennsylvania Certification as a PAC or CRNP.
Credentialing Competencies in accordance with current credentialing and / or competency requirements.
BLS and ACLS required.
At least two years clinical experience preferred.
Prior experience in ICU care with cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation preferred.
