What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Health Worker position at Meals on Wheels of NEPA?
Meals on Wheels of NEPA is hiring Community Health Workers. Community Health Workers are part-time employees that support the Community Health Outreach and Meal Program (CHOMP). CHOMP’s goal is to provide the extra services our clients need to remain living independently in their communities with safe and clean environments.
Duties include:
- Light housekeeping (no bathrooms)
- Helping with online grocery shopping/delivery
- Socializing with clients
- Observing and reporting changes in clients’ condition (training will be provided)
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comply with a strict drug-free policy
- Ability to pass a background check
- Work as part of a team
- Walk, bend, squat, reach, and stand for long periods of time
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
Benefits:
- Flexible scheduling (12-18 hours per week. M-F from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.)
- $13/hour
