General Summary
The Capital Campaign Manager will ensure that all fundraising and communication of the Meals on Wheels People Together at the Table Capital Campaign move toward our $26M goal. Working in collaboration with the CEO, CDO, Major Gifts Manager (MGM), and Senior Fundraising and Database Manager, the person in this role will identify and classify donors, ensure the implementation of timely qualification, cultivation, and solicitation strategies, and ensure all campaign data is recorded accurately. This includes the day-to-day details of campaign implementation, donor management and research, pipeline oversight, reporting, and other record keeping. The Campaign Manager will coordinate, create, and customize materials and agendas for prospecting meetings, campaign events, donor meetings, and Board Campaign Steering Committee meetings.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Develops, implements, and maintains a campaign development pipeline to forecast fundraising revenue for the duration of the campaign
- In conjunction with the CDO and MGM, manages a portfolio of campaign prospects for qualification, cultivation, and direct solicitation
- Identifies and researches major gift prospects. Develops recommendations for solicitation strategies, working closely with CEO, CDO, and MGM
- Monitors and updates the campaign timeline to keep staff on track to meet monthly and quarterly goals
- Manages campaign events and meetings and manages agendas, minutes, assignments, and follow up
- Produces proposals, campaign packets, gifts agreements, and all campaign correspondence
- Works with the CDO, Director of Marketing & Communications, and the MGM to develop and implement a Campaign communication strategy
- Creates and manages Campaign materials for donors, events, and presentations in collaboration with MGM and Director of Marketing and Communications
- Working closely with the Database Manager, creates and distributes Campaign reports, strategy and solicitation records campaign and donor information, and processes campaign gifts, pledges, and receipts
- Prepare Campaign materials and communication for the monthly board meeting
- Manages event and donor meeting follow up including recording relevant data, sending follow up materials, and sending thank you notes and other stewardship activities
- Undertakes other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall mission, vision, and values of Meals on Wheels People, Inc.
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Minimum of five years of nonprofit experience with two years of experience in Capital Campaigns
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and donor data management systems; experience with Raiser’s Edge a plus
- Demonstrated experience soliciting and securing five and six figure gifts
- Proven experience in meeting and exceeding fundraising goals.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation
- Willing to work limited extended hours to support special activities and other deadlines
- Passion for serving seniors in our community
Any satisfactory combination of experience, training and/or education which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above qualifications.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Fast paced, with significant people interaction. Occasional lifting over 30 pounds to set up for events, minimal reaching, bending and stooping. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate computer keyboard, mouse and phone. Frequent travel around Portland Metro area. Must pass drug and alcohol test and criminal background check.

Salary : $73,500 - $99,500
