Summary
As the Community Outreach Coordinator Meals on Wheels Western Michigan, you will play a pivotal role involving community members in discussions, decision-making, and activities that impact their collective well-being. These efforts will help bridge the gap between MOWWM and the people we serve, promoting positive social change and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to and encourages a work environment consistent with MOWWM’s Mission, Vision and Core Values
- Keeps supervisor informed of department activities and challenges
- Collaborates with all departments to advance the mission of MOWWM
- Communicate with community members to understand their needs and expectations
- Follows procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and grant regulations/requirements
- Develop and implement community outreach programs and initiatives.
- Organize and manage community events, workshops, and meetings
- Maintain records of community engagement activities and prepare reports
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings
- Work with marketing and Advancement teams to promote community events and initiatives
- Conduct surveys and feedback sessions to assess the effectiveness of community outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Previous experience in community Outreach or a similar role is desirable
- Must have valid Michigan driver’s license (or be able to obtain) and a vehicle available for travel within the service area.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in event planning

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 29 per week
