Want to help fight hunger in Western Michigan? Do you have a passion for helping seniors? Meals on Wheels Western Michigan has a large Production Kitchen in Grandville and we are looking for a Warehouse Delivery Associate. There are no nights, weekends, or holidays!!
We are a local non-profit organization that feeds the older adults in Kent and Allegan County. Team Members at MOWWM can expect to go home every day knowing they made a difference in someone’s life.
Basic Function:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Delivery Associate is responsible for packing and preparing client orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency; assisting with loading and unloading company vehicles, including conversion vans, for deliveries; delivering and receiving high-volume products to and from various customers within the greater West Michigan area, utilizing company vehicles that consist of vans and box trucks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Adheres to and encourages a work environment consistent with MOWWM’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
· Keeps supervisor informed of department activities and challenges.
· Collaborates with all departments to advance the mission of MOWWM.
· Maintains positive client, customer, and partner relationships.
· Follows procedures to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and grant regulations/requirements
· Fulfills specific client orders
· Maintains organized inventories of product
· Maintains clean production workspace
· Delivers product to destinations according to established schedule and delivery procedures
· Communicates any concerns immediately to the Shipping Supervisor or Manager
· Assists in the packaging and stocking of products as needed in commercial cooler and freezer
· Moves packaged product safely and securely from walk-in coolers/freezers to MOWWM vehicles
· Other duties as assigned

Education/Training/Experience Required
· Must have valid Michigan driver’s license (or be able to obtain) and a vehicle available for travel within the service area.
· Chauffeur’s endorsement or ability to obtain
· Current DOT medical card or ability to obtain
· Clean driving record
· Experience driving larger vehicles/delivering larger weight product
Physical Demands
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
· Crawling/crouching in vehicle
· Lifting, twisting, pulling, pushing, long periods of sitting and standing
Work Environment
· Work environment will have a moderate level of noise
· May require work in a walk-in freezer, cooler and hot kitchen
· May require driving in inclement weather
