Job Duties:
- Processes primary and secondary insurance claims utilizing billing software.
- When needed, work and mail claims for funders who do not have online portal or those that will not transmit online.
- Ensure all therapist information, diagnosis and place of services is correct on all billed claims.
- Take payments in person and over the phone for private pay portions of claims.
- Work denied claims and ensure AR is kept up to date
- Responsible for assisting with the documentation of client data within the medical billing software; records information related to each contact, status changes, updates, denials, demographics and anything pertinent to the client’s account.
- Track billing monthly to forecast trends.
- Provide as back up, when needed, to add codes into Provide.
- Assist with explaining benefits, the billing process and financial responsibilities to clients.
- Participate in continuing education or self-study related to therapy funding.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 21 years or older
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance with $50,000/$100,00 bodily injury and liability limits
- Medical billing experience
- Indiana Medicaid billing preferable

- Microsoft office proficient
