General Manager

Responsibilities
Taproom and Company Operations
- Manage and lead all taproom operations and personnel while embodying our core values, seeking to create an environment where everyone can flourish.
- Drive operational excellence through ongoing training, education, and development.
- Analyze sales data to identify underperforming sales categories and areas, and oversee the strategy to improve performance.
- Collaborate with taproom management to oversee staff scheduling, inventory management, and ordering while continually identifying opportunities to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate taproom excellence.
- Collaborate with all departments to align efforts and achieve the company’s broader goals, ensuring seamless communication, teamwork, and strategic execution across the organization.
Human Resources
- Lead recruitment efforts to hire value-aligned individuals and ensure a seamless onboarding process. Foster a positive work environment that drives employee engagement and retention.
Private Events, Show Production, Programming & Community Events
- Collaborate with event personnel to plan and execute private events, enhance programming, streamline operations, and expand community outreach.
- Support key production personnel in strategizing, coordinating and further developing the expansive programming onsite from routine free shows, monthly ticketed shows and programming that may leverage music to garner reception and awareness.
Facilities and Maintenance
- Oversee and address all facilities-related matters, including new initiatives and ongoing projects, while implementing and managing all preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance programs to ensure optimal facility conditions.
- Cultivate and manage ongoing relationships with food trucks, ensuring seamless integration and mutual success, while providing support and resources to drive retention and foster a thriving food truck program.
Sports Management, League Play, and Field Rentals
- Work with sports field management to oversee programs like leagues, tournaments, and rentals, ensuring excellent guest experiences, efficient operations, and revenue growth.
Social Media and Marketing
- Collaborate, organize, and forecast alongside marketing personnel to develop and implement engaging content strategies, overseeing platform management, promotion of onsite programming, and advocating for increased awareness and support of programming.
Vendors & Third Party Services Onsite
- Build and maintain strategic vendor and partner relationships, negotiating and auditing contracts to drive value. Identify innovative solutions, ensure seamless execution, and monitor performance to align with organizational goals.
Long Term Planning
- Working with both the taproom team and the broader brewing leadership, find creative ways to maximize the space and its offerings, further expand our reach, and create sustainable opportunities that drive growth, engagement, and revenue. Develop new revenue arenas, leveraging the space to its fullest potential, and fostering a sustainable and prosperous future.
Requirements to Apply
- Experience: You need at least 5 years of relevant experience that speak to your hospitality management, leadership, event coordination, and business acumen. Previous experience managing a high-volume taproom, restaurant, or event-driven venue is strongly preferred.
- Passion: Passion for craft beer and hospitality is a must. The more you know about beer and the brewing process, the better – Cicerone Beer Server or similar certification is strongly preferred.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with tablet-based POS systems (e.g., Toast), brewery management software (e.g., Ekos), event booking software (e.g., tripleseat), scheduling management tool (e.g., 7shifts), sports management software (e.g., LeagueLab) and productivity tools like Google Workspace and MS Office Suite.
- Physical Requirements: At times, the job can be physical. Must have the ability to: lift/roll 55–165 pound kegs as needed. twisting/turning, reaching over your shoulders, climbing stairs, working in hot/cold/wet conditions, bending/stooping, and standing/walking.
- Certifications: A valid Texas TABC Bartender License is required. Food Handler Certification is preferred.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead a large, diverse team, while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
