We are looking to fill a Locator position in Colorado Springs. Locators play a crucial role in our team. This role acts as a liaison between infrastructure designers, utility providers, city staff, and project owners regarding utility locating activities in preparation for or during construction.

Essential Duties:
- Ability to read and interpret standard utility, underground, and aerial design and engineering drawings, KMZ files, and maps
- Basic knowledge of buried utilities
- Use locate equipment
- Work alone and problem solve
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned
- Travel required as needed
Key Qualifications
- Valid driver license and good driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of technical/utility experience
- Attention to detail and effective time management, planning, and organizational skills
- Verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF’s, KMZ files, Google Earth, and ability to learn QuickBase database
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time,
- Walk safely on uneven ground when making field visits,
- lift up to 25 pounds (field or computer equipment, printer, etc.)
- Site visits as needed in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
