We are looking to fill a Project Safety Manager position in in Central City, NE. This role will be responsible for project-level safety and quality leadership on a facility construction project site. The Project Safety Manager will report to the Regional Safety and Quality Manager.

- $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
- $150.00 per diem (per day over 4 hours worked)

Essential Duties
- Manage safety and quality professionals on the assigned project
- Provide project safety and quality leadership
- Participate in client company safety audits and coordinate corrective actions
- Lead After Action Report (AAR) calls and ensure corrective follow-up
- Facilitate root cause analysis, investigations, and case management
- Coordinate, manage, and respond to OSHA audits
- Oversee injury management and establish local resources and relationships
- Apply field experience in facilities construction
- Read and comprehend standards; know facility construction best practices
- Review weekly Ops Reports for safety planning
- Review events for indicators and ensure comprehensive safety planning and reporting
- Schedule audits based on event trends, indicators, and safety needs
- Coordinate Safety, DOT, and OQ Training with the Training Manager
- Complete monthly expense reports and direct report purchases
- Generate Health and Safety Plans, weekly safety discussions, and other documents as required
- Available after-hours as needed to provide immediate support
- Other duties as assigned
Key Qualifications
- 5 years of facilities construction experience
- OR 2 years in a construction or industrial safety/quality role
- Valid driver’s license
- Adhere to approved safe driving behaviors
- Follow all DMV rules and regulations
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of facilities' construction safety
- Uphold professional interaction, appearances, and communication at all levels of the organization
- Travel as needed
- On-call availability 24/7 or as assigned, including after-hours, weekends, and holidays
- The physical activity required for this role includes:
- Tolerate a wide range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
- Standing or walking for long periods of time
- Repeatedly lifting heavy loads (up to 50 lbs.)
- Other repetitive movements, such as kneeling, crawling, climbing, and reaching
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
