SCHEDULE: This position operates within a 24/7 environment that will require applicants to work, day, evening, and/or night shifts as well as holidays and weekends
The Greeter represents Mears as the first employee that our Guests meet upon arrival at the Mears Connect reception area. The Greeter is responsible for welcoming, assisting and directing our Guests during their Connect arrival experience. Responsibilities include:
- Welcome, interact, and communicate any service-related information to our Guests.
- Provides any necessary assistance with the self-service purchase kiosks.
- Monitors the self-service scan in kiosks for any issues and helps when necessary.
- Directs Guests as necessary to the proper load zone waiting area.
- Communicates any special travel needs to the Dispatcher.
- Locates reservations and print boarding passes for our Guests that do not receive them in advance.
- Collects appropriate reservation documents.
- Creates reservation modifications.
- Explains and sells the Connect service to those Guests that arrive without a reservation that may want to book a reservation.
- Communicates approximate wait times and any known information about delays to keep Guests informed.
- Provides general airport information.
- Assists with the Meet and Greet process as needed
- Additional duties may be required as requested
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Effective oral and written communication skills required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Knowledge of Disney/Lake Buena Vista Resort areas preferred
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS:
- Must be able to remain calm, pleasant, and poised under high-pressure situations
- Must be able to work flexible hours
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work is performed in various environmental conditions
- Must be able to read and understand program scheduling reports and other related materials
- Must be able to communicate by telephone, 2-way radio, or in person, in clear fluent English, in a courteous friendly and professional manner, with clients, guests, co-workers and industry related personnel
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and follow company regulations regarding dress code, attendance requirements and behavior
- Must be able to utilize a reliable mode of transportation to get to and from the Orlando International Airport
