Job Description
- Position Summary:
The Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing laborer duties such as digging, coating, shoring, backfilling, etc.The work is mainly for pipeline anomaly digs.
- Key Responsibilities:
Actively participate in Company and Client safety programs.Set up and utilize various equipment.
Ensuring strict adherence to safety, health, quality, and operation guidelines and procedures.
Possess the ability to recognize and mitigate hazards.
Adheres to the Company Code of Conduct and Expectations
- Required Qualifications and Competencies for the Position:
Possess the ability to work safely per OSHA and/or state guidelines is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Willingness to travel, requires travel 100%.
Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.) and industry standards and recommended practices (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.) is preferred
Self-motivated and reliable
Success in working on small teams
Maintain a high level of integrity and ethics
Must be able to pass a drug test and obtain T.W.I.C card
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Must abide by Company safety policies at all times
Pipeline Integrity knowledge a plus.
- Working Conditions:
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, crawling, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
Moving, carrying and lifting objects up to 50 pounds
Enter/Exit and work in excavations.
Be able to climb ladders and stairs.
Be able to step up into vehicles or onto equipment
Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
Work in and near industrial hazards
Be able to work outdoors in warm, hot and cold conditions
