MPC is in an exciting growth and expansion phase, and is looking to build a strong, cohesive and talented Leadership Team.


The Opportunity:

Mearthane Products Corporation (MPC) is seeking a motivated intern to join our Sales and Marketing team, with a focus on business development and customer relations. The ideal candidate is a Junior, Senior, or Master's level student majoring in Business Management/Administration, Marketing, or a related field. This internship provides hands-on experience across a range of Sales and Marketing activities, including new business development, market research, and executing outbound sales strategies through email and LinkedIn. This position will report directly to the Market Development Leader but will interface with R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality and Executive Management.

Required Skills and Experiences:

 Currently enrolled in B.A. or B.S. Degree program in a Business, Marketing, or a related field


Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist in the creation and execution of sales and marketing strategies, including lead generation, prospect outreach, and coordinating introductory meetings for the sales team.

·      Implement outbound strategies through various channels such as email and LinkedIn to engage with potential customers and generate business opportunities.

·      Prepare and analyze reports to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing insights on key performance metrics.

·      Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in market positioning.

·      Support outreach efforts by scheduling introductory meetings with both current and prospective customers to foster relationships and explore new business opportunities.

·      Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging and improve the customer outreach process based on feedback and performance analysis.


Required Skills and Experiences:

·      A solid understanding of business, marketing strategies, and terminology.

·      Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·      Outbound sales & marketing experience is a plus

·      Comfortable scheduling meetings and coordinating with both existing and potential clients.

·      Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·      Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

·      Comfortable working independently or in a team setting.

·      A proactive, creative mindset with a passion for sales, marketing, and customer service




Most Critical Competencies:

·      Ability to clearly communicate MPC’s value proposition to potential clients and leads.

·      Previous sales experience

·      Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field

·      Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

·      Prior experience with scheduling and booking meetings is a bonus


Working Conditions:

· Required to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time

· Primarily in an office environment

· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed


Location: Cranston, Rhode Island

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
