FHF is looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can bring fresh ideas to the table. As a temporary intern, you will work directly with our Sr. Marketing Manager to assist in and execute content strategies that enhance our digital presence.
Primary responsibilities will include assisting with the management of our current social channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube), developing growth strategies, and assisting in content creation. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a passion for storytelling, a sharp eye for editing, and a solid sense of humor. The right candidate should be a team player who can adapt quickly, stay ahead of digital trends, and contribute creative ideas that elevate our brand’s voice and engagement.
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Channel Management: Assist with day-to-day management of current social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.
- Growth Initiatives: Develop and test strategies with a goal to grow social media platforms by 5% per platform by the end of the internship.
- Content Planning: Work closely with the Senior Marketing Manager to develop a comprehensive social media calendar. This includes brainstorming ideas, aligning content with brand strategy, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule.
- Content Creation: Brainstorm and assist in creating engaging, on-brand content for various platforms. This includes editing, and optimizing content for each platform.
- Analytics and Reporting: Provide weekly reports on growth by channel, including analysis of content performance and any A/B testing conducted.
- Community Engagement: Respond to comments on posts and direct messages from our audience, ensuring familiarity with the FHF Gear brand and products.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor and report on what content major competitors are sharing and identify any major initiatives or trends they are leading.
- Other Duties: Support the marketing team as needed to achieve broader social media and brand objectives.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
- Weekly Team Interactions: Engage in weekly meetings with the FHF Gear marketing team to align on goals, content plans, and performance updates.
- Content Creation: Gain hands-on experience developing photo, video, and written content optimized for social media platforms.
- Social Media Calendar: Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager to build and manage a pre-approved social media calendar.
- Analytics and Reporting: Analyze content performance weekly, track growth across channels, and conduct A/B testing to refine strategies.
- Platform Expansion: Research emerging social media platforms and provide actionable recommendations for potential FHF Gear presence.
- Audience Engagement: Respond to comments, direct messages, and engage authentically with the FHF Gear community.
- Behind-the-Scenes Insight: Learn the day-to-day operations of an American-made, Montana-based business, including product development and how ideas transition to market-ready gear.
- Real-World Impact: Contribute directly to the growth of FHF Gear’s digital presence while gaining valuable industry experience.
- Part time/flexible schedule, 10-20 hours/week - based on intern’s credit needs
This position is located in: Bozeman, Montana
Candidates must be currently enrolled in university or receiving advanced education and must be eligible for 3-6 college credits. Proof of enrollment is required prior to accepting this position. Please feel free to ask questions on how this process works!
Requirements
- Experience: Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube). Familiarity with social media management tools and basic analytics preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills. Basic knowledge of photo/video editing software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Interest: Interest in outdoor recreation, conservation, hunting, birding, or tactical gear is preferred.
- Currently enrolled in college/university, preferably marketing/business or similar study
- Location: FHF Gear HQ/ Some days may be remote
