Description
MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly-organized and creative person to join MeatEater’s production team as a Production Intern. As an intern for the MeatEater brand, you will join the production team that tackles everything from short form documentary to long form narrative content to branded short form content. Their primary job responsibilities will include assisting the gear manager in cleaning and maintaining the gear, help out on local production shoots as a production assistant, and aiding producers with various tasks. The Production Intern will report to the Production Coordinator. You do not need to have any prior knowledge in production, but a desire to learn and passion for media production. The right fit will have excellent organizational skills and be willing to jump in and get their hands dirty!
INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assisting in keeping the camera gear organized and clean
- Assisting in gear rentals
- Coordination of sponsorship gear and supplies needed prior to each shoot
- Assist in researching for episodes
- Organizing and purchasing hunting/fishing licenses for talent/crew as needed
- Assisting on local production shoots as a production assistant
- Digitizing documentation for producers
- Preparing production binders for crew
- Learning and understanding the payroll process for freelance crewmembers
- Other duties as beneficial to MeatEater
INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
- Bi-monthly in person meetings with Producers and Production Coordinator
- Monthly training of production workflows
- Hands on experience on production shoots

- Part time/flexible schedule, 10-20 hours/week - based on intern’s credit needs
*Candidates must be currently enrolled in university or receiving advanced education and must be eligible for 3-6 college credits, proof of enrollment is required prior to accepting this position. Please feel free to ask questions on how this process works!
Requirements
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative suite a plus
- Currently enrolled in college/university, preferably media production school or similar study
- Location: Remote/In-person (what office)

- Proven ability to drive progress in a start-up environment
- Strong interest in production/editing/etc.
- Interest in hunting, fishing, cooking and conservation
