Job Brief.
Our team is looking for a motivated Laborer to perform various manual tasks to prepare job sites and aid daily operations in support of our various construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Core Areas of Responsibility.
- May clean out ditches and remove concrete forms. Perform manual labor.
- Assist, support, and follow the directions of skilled laborers.
- May assist in the erection and removal of falsework and formwork.
- May assist in the installation of underground utilities
- May assist in piping and equipment installation at industrial facilities, including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and shipyards.
- May be required to carry and clean various materials as directed.
- May be required to shovel or rake materials.
- Must be safety-minded and adhere to all safety policies.
- Additional requirements as directed by the foreman/leadman.
Skills You Possess.
- Heavy Construction labor experience is preferred.
- Able to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.) for an 8 – 10-hour workday.
- The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
- Interpersonal competencies include a drive for results, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, dependable behavior, and cooperation.
- Good housekeeping standards and ability to observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.
Requirements.
- 18 years of Age
- Able to Pass a Drug Test
- Legally Eligible to Work in the US
- If assigned to a government project, US citizenship, and a clear background check may be required.
Additional Requirements for Craftworkers.
- Must have own transportation to and from job site every workday (driver's license not required)
- Must provide own hand tools (excluding power tools)
