Powder Coat Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the pretreatment and preventative maintenance of the powder coat line to maintain quality and system performance.

- Follow all safety and environmental procedures
- Proficient communication skills including use of 2-way radio and email
- Complete tasks as assigned using the Fluke eMaint maintenance software.
- Pretreatment maintenance which includes testing and making chemical adjustments
- Preventative maintenance which includes but is not limited to: tank drain, filter changes, clean nozzles, pressure wash canisters, clean ovens, complete basic maintenance repairs including replacing belts and filters and system testing as required
- Perform waste treatment maintenance including effluent testing and proper handling and storage of all chemicals.
- Assist Powder Coat employees with troubleshooting and repairing issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies & procedures including water discharge permits, hazardous chemical and process waste management, record keeping and reporting.
- Properly manage chemicals to prevent and prepare for possible emergencies
- Assist in continuous improvement activities
- Setup and maintain spare parts for chemical pre-treatment and powder application equipment.
- Qualify to operate aerial work platform or AWP’s including scissor and boom lift and powered industrial trucks or PIT’s including forklift and walkie stacker.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient with basic math and computer skills
- Proven problem solving abilities
- Safe use of basic hand and power tools
- Strong understanding of chemical usage and safe handling practices.
- Indoor, noisy, hot in summer months
- Works with highly hazardous chemicals.
