- Oversees the MEC Enterprise Data Platform, data architecture, data models, and management tools to support business objectives.
- Partners with stakeholders to identify data needs and supports business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics initiatives that enable strategic decision-making.
- Drives the adoption of best practices of data management, governance, quality, architecture, and lifecycle management to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Leads the execution of ETL (extract, transform, load) activities as defined in MEC’s application modernization roadmap.
- Establishes and oversees data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, security, and privacy, across multiple business system platforms.
- Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc., and manages data-related risks.
- Leads and develops a team of data professionals, including data architects, engineers, and governance specialists.
- Evaluates and selects data management technologies and tools that align with the organization's needs and strategy.
- Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality data management solutions.
- Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work performance management; department budget.
- Performs other duties as assigned, which may include leading projects of varying scale or scope.

- Data Management: Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, and database management systems.
- Data Governance: Expertise in building and maintaining Data Governance programs
- ETL/ELT Processes: Strong understanding of data integration and transformation tools.
- Analytics and BI Tools: Expertise with platforms like Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong program management expertise including significant knowledge of productivity tools.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate strategic vision and influence, inspire, and motivate staff.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual thinking, and strategic planning and execution skills.
- Understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and Data Governance to business leaders.
- Strong facilitation skills with experience engaging teams in a collaborative, distributed environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field.
- Certifications in Data Management principles preferred.
- Ten years of experience in IT and Enterprise Data.
- Manufacturing and ERP experience highly preferred.
