MECA Therapies is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Regional Director to lead and manage operations, drive revenue growth, and ensure strategic alignment within Southern Dona Ana County. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional business acumen, with proven experience in revenue management, growth strategy development, cost analysis, and forecasting.

 

As a Regional Director, you will be responsible for overseeing performance in Southern Dona Ana County, identifying and executing growth opportunities, optimizing operational costs, and ensuring sustainable profitability. You will play a critical role in steering the region toward achieving short- and long-term goals while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

 

This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive results.

The Regional Director manages the day-to-day operations of MECA Early Childhood Programs under the auspices of the NM Family Infant Toddler Program, Early Childhood Education and Care Department (ECECD), Home Visiting Program. The Regional Director manages the administration of policies and procedures for all regional programs. Additional responsibilities include: program development, staff development and training, outreach and marketing, caseload development, productivity tracking, annual performance reviews, grievance procedures, quality assurance, and supervision.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B A. or B.S.) in Early Childhood, Social Work, Counseling, Infant Mental Health, or a related field; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

General Requirements:     

·         General knowledge and experience in the field of Rehabilitation Therapy Services and/or knowledge of         Special/Early Childhood Education 

·         Managerial experience

·         Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Excel, database management and record keeping.

·         Effective oral and written communication.

·         Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

·         Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

·         Excellent organizational skills.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Regional Director will ensure that the programs/regional staff are operating within Local, State and Federal regulations as well as adhering to all operational policies and procedures. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

 

  1. Developing and implementing procedures for all Regional Programs
  2. Updating policy and procedures annually and compiling MEMO to all staff for changes to policy ongoing as part of the early intervention management team
  3. Following policy and procedures for decisions made within regional programs
  4. Training regional staff on policies and procedures for programs
  5. Ensuring that all professional licensures and certifications are held and maintained by program/regional staff and personnel
  6. Overseeing and ensuring that Team meetings for all regional programs occur to disseminate information and discuss issues related to specific programs
  7. Meeting weekly with Leadership Teams to receive programmatic updates and provide guidance on next steps and expectations
  8. Consulting with staff regarding family/client concerns
  9. Receiving and disseminating updates/notices to staff regarding regional programs through a variety of methods: email, direct communication, memos, newsletters, etc.
  10. Receiving, reviewing and informing MECA management team of any and all state and federal communications related to early intervention and home visiting
  11. Overseeing and assigning task to middle management teams to ensure all program timelines and compliance indicators per contracts and standards are met
  12. Overseeing middle management teams to ensure all program data is timely, accurate, and complete
  13. Maintaining documentation for disciplinary actions needed to be taken with staff.
  14. Participating in interviews for potential employees/subcontractors
  15. Coordinating and scheduling appropriate Orientation for new employees and student interns
  16. Assisting in the development and completion of all requests for proposals, grants and contract negotiations for all MECA Programs.
  17. Overseeing and attending regional program meetings (community, committees, programmatic meetings, etc.)
  18. Providing coaching, reflective supervision, and field supervision for middle management as identified within program(s) policy and procedures and standards
  19. Reviewing and approving payroll for submission to corporate office
  20. Ensuring property maintenance and building safety
  21. Holding employees to expected hours and schedules
  22. Being present during office hours 8-5 unless otherwise accepted or approved
  23. Overseeing that monthly fire drills and annual fire inspections occur
  24. Overseeing completion of patient/stakeholder surveys and following up on any concerns communicated through surveys
  25. Ensuring that all regional program information is tracked weekly and quarterly
  26. Consulting with staff regarding program and performance concerns 
  27. Reviewing and providing feedback for coaching videos
  28. Scheduling and providing one on one coaching with Leadership Team
  29. Identifying marketing targets, actions items and next steps for developing long term relationships within regions
  30. Other duties as assigned 

CASELOAD

The Regional Director will ensure that all caseload assignments are up to date and accurate by:

  1. Overseeing that all caseloads are updated timely and accurately
  2. Overseeing that all changes to caseload are supported by documentation identified in policy and procedure for program(s)
  3. Reviewing program caseload weekly
  4. Overseeing that all staff have caseload numbers as indicated on their job descriptions
  5. Making adjustments to caseloads as needed to support contractual agreements with regional programs. (i.e., number served within a specific region)
  6. Monitoring referral goals for all regional programs 

PRODUCTIVITY

The Regional Director will ensure that the programs/region achieves the expected productivity and fiscal performance goals identified for each program by:

  1. Overseeing productivity reports for all regional programs
  2. Communicating with staff regarding successes and challenges related to productivity
  3. Achieving monthly referral/growth goals as set by program standards and MECA Executive Team 

DOCUMENTATION

The Regional Director will accurately collect data on children and families served and will ensure that the information is accurate and reliable as it relates to the operation and governance of the company by:

  1. Ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed when entering data for regional programs
  2. Monitoring reporting databases to ensure accuracy of data collection, data entry, and billing totals
  3. Reviewing weekly and monthly billing through data provided by CFO and billing specialist
  4. Contacting staff to discuss specific issues/concerns with billing and submission errors
  5. Assisting CFO with maintaining accurate billing procedures for hourly staff   

STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING

The Regional Director will ensure that staff will be provided the necessary support, training, and guidance in their provision of services to the clients served by:

  1. Maintaining a Developmental Specialist license as required by the NM FIT program in order to provide ongoing supervision to Early Childhood staff if applicable
  2. Overseeing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Professional Development Plans for each Developmental Specialist/Family Service Coordinator if applicable
  3. Overseeing and monitoring Staff Development Plans for each Home Visitor if applicable
  4. Identifying local, state and regional training opportunities for staff to attend
  5. Overseeing that all staff receive competency trainings required by the respective program
  6. Coordinating in-house trainings through use of MECA therapists

SUPERVISION

The Regional Director will ensure that all staff working in regional programs are provided with adequate supervision to support service delivery by:

  1. Providing general supervision for all staff within region
  2. Overseeing that reflective supervision is provided and documented for all DS/FSC
  3. Provide ongoing coaching/ supervision to all staff and leadership team
  4. Compiling and reviewing periodic and annual employee reviews with all staff
