Apprentice Plumber
Looking for an apprentice plumber looking to perform commercial plumbing installation and maintenance work, with an emphasis on ground up commercial and industrial installations, including warehouses, process plants, commercial kitchens, tenant fit ups, and multi-tenant spaces.
Responsibilities include reading blueprints, cut sheets and job scope, material ordering, inventory control, construction layout and installation, coordination with other trades, and communications with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other team members for the safe installation of all associated plumbing systems to applicable codes and standards.
Necessary skills include, lay-out and installation of Cast Iron and PVC DWV systems, lay-out and installation of Domestic Water Systems of all types, finishes and setting of equipment, lay-out and installation of Process Piping Systems, installation of Gas Piping Systems and equipment, the ability to rig equipment for safe transport and lifting, weld fit-up, safe operation of personnel lifting equipment and OSHA 10.
Work conditions include but are not limited to: working from heights exceeding 10', lifting in excess of 75 pounds, climbing ladders, working in trenches and trench boxes, working in confined spaces, working in the elements, exposure to heat sources and other hazardous conditions, occasional night work, and working with PPE.
Current Massachusetts Apprenticeship Card, OSHA 10 and valid driver's license required. New Hampshire Apprenticeship Card and/or willingness to obtain is a plus!
