Parts/Shop Assistant

Local Mechanical Contractor is seeking qualified candidates for a Parts/Shop Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely receipt of incoming tools & material; accurately place incoming stock orders in proper locations.
• Processing warranties with vendors
• Ordering service parts and quoting customers as needed
• Answer phones and perform other general office work as needed.
• Assist runner with pulling orders, loading and unloading parts trucks. Help run deliveries when needed.
• Perform general maintenance tasks in the warehouse and parts department to ensure that all items are being stored in an efficient and safe manner.
• Return unwanted or damaged items back to the suppliers.
• Process and assist with order picking for field techs
• Maintain tool management of all tools
• Cover for other staff as needed .
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Proper phone etiquette

· Must have strong multi-tasking capabilities

· Comfort in a fast paced environment

· Strong ability to work/communicate well with customers and co workers

· Salary Commensurate with experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
