What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts/Shop Assistant position at Mechanical Contractor?
Local Mechanical Contractor is seeking qualified candidates for a Parts/Shop Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt of incoming tools & material; accurately place incoming stock orders in proper locations.
- Processing warranties with vendors
- Ordering service parts and quoting customers as needed
- Answer phones and perform other general office work as needed.
- Assist runner with pulling orders, loading and unloading parts trucks. Help run deliveries when needed.
- Perform general maintenance tasks in the warehouse and parts department to ensure that all items are being stored in an efficient and safe manner.
- Return unwanted or damaged items back to the suppliers.
- Process and assist with order picking for field techs
- Maintain tool management of all tools
- Cover for other staff as needed .
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Proper phone etiquette
· Must have strong multi-tasking capabilities
· Comfort in a fast paced environment
· Strong ability to work/communicate well with customers and co workers
· Salary Commensurate with experience

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
