The Parts Division is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our growing business.
The position is in our Euclid, OH manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Vice President of the Parts Division, the Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the steam turbine valve parts manufacturing team.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead the parts manufacturing team to meet business goals related to Safety, Quality, Output, On Time Delivery, Productivity and Profitability
- Leverage tools to manage capacity planning, applied time, and overhead absorption
- Manage operations within established budget, ultimately ensuring cost is appropriate for volume
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance teams on execution
- Support make-buy decisions to optimize overall flow parts output for the division
- Continuously monitor accuracy of cost and cycle estimates
- Provide direction and monitoring of sub-suppliers with respect to raw material and outsourced operations
- Collaborate with Sales team on required process capabilities, capacity and strategic inventory stocking
- Elevate the team through hiring, training, performance reviews, and all other aspects of team development
- Develop investment plans, including people, process capability and equipment
- Provide data-driven feedback to upper management
- At least 10 years of management experience, in a production environment
- Proven track record of leading, motivating, and developing personnel
- Ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with teammates in other functions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and team-building skills
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability to travel for work up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, or related area of study
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems
- Experience growing manufacturing output, through addition of products, processes, people and equipment
