Core Responsibilities
Use engineering drawings, manufacturing operating instructions, and bills of material to assemble units with minimal supervision
All duties assigned by supervisor
Skill Requirements
Minimum Requirements/skills
- 3 yrs experience fitting piping, running instrument tubing & installing components & vessels on skid-mounted equipment.
- Read & understand P&ID, general arrangement and isometric drawings
- Prior experience fabricating & installing piping and support structures.
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, assemble and install various metal & plastic pipes, valves & fittings.
Preferred skills:
- MIG welding
- Tube rolling

Education, Experience, and Technical Knowledge
High school education required
3 years experience in the trade
Proficient as a pipefitter, millwright
Proficient in the assembly of mechanical equipment

Pride in his/her craft with dedication to meeting MECO specs and standards
Physical Requirements
Must have ability to lift 50 lbs., and must generally be in good physical condition. Must be able to stand in place for hours at a time, climb ladders, stoop, squat, work in confined spaces, etc. Must have vision and be able to use both hands.
Departmental Culture and Working Environment
This position is set in a team oriented culture. The group only performs as well as the individual. This position is set in a heavy industrial environment. Work is in an enclosed building, but temperatures will fluctuate with the outside air temperature. Can be very hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.
