THE ROLE
In this role, you will coordinate administrative and outreach details to support growth of third-party partnerships with The MLC. This includes coordinating meetings, outreach efforts to prospective distributors, scheduling programs and drafting materials for events.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum one years' relevant experience in administrative work within the music industry; can include internships and/or college experience
- Strong customer service experience
- Strong communication skills
- Beginner to intermediate MS Excel and MS Power point skills
- An interest in engaging independent songwriters demonstrated by participation in student record labels, radio stations and/or artist management
- Able to work up to 20 hours a week during the core hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm CT.
- Able to speak and write Spanish is preferred.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
AS A MEMBER OF THE THIRD-PARTY PARTNERSHIP TEAM, YOU WILL:
- Coordinate Distributor Outreach & User Support – following up with a targeted list of music distributors to schedule initial meetings. At times, providing DURP user support such as passcode resets and training.
- Help with the DURP Quarterly newsletter
- Assist with coordinating the DURP Artist Onboarding funnel; scheduling artist meeting, catalog review and membership eligibility assessment, step-by-step onboarding (from enrollment through first distribution), and securing artist testimonial & press materials (e.g. promotional photo, bio, social media handles).
- Collaborate to ideate cultural initiatives and partner content. Contact prospective speakers for cultural initiatives.
- Gather and organize speaker materials (e.g. Bios, photos, social media handles) and ensuring speakers receive confirmation of participation, Zoom webinar links, etc.
- Document meeting notes with partners to conceptualize joint webinar outlines/agendas
- Assist with managing relations with program consultants. Tasks to be determined as needed.
- Assist with reviewing Member Benefits vendors list for administrative support.
- Other duties as assigned.
