Job Summary:
As a Master Plumber at Mechanical & Plumbing Systems, LLC, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks. Your role includes managing plumbing projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, and leading a team of plumbing professionals. Your expertise will ensure high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee plumbing projects from start to finish.
- Review blueprints and building codes to determine plumbing requirements.
- Estimate project costs and manage budgets.
- Installation and Repair:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and water heaters.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with plumbing systems.
- Ensure that all installations and repairs comply with local and national codes.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor junior plumbers and apprentices.
- Assign tasks and provide guidance on complex plumbing issues.
- Conduct training sessions on safety practices and plumbing techniques.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their plumbing needs and provide solutions.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold company standards in all client interactions.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all work meets legal and regulatory requirements.
- Obtain necessary permits and inspections for plumbing projects.
- Stay updated on changes in plumbing codes and regulations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent.
- Prepare and submit reports on project progress and completion.
- Document any changes or deviations from original plans.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited plumbing apprenticeship program.
- Licensing:
- Valid Master Plumber license (specific to the state or region of employment).
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a journeyman plumber, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Experience in supervising and training plumbing staff.
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
