Position Overview:
MSC is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented HVAC Project Coordinator to join our team. This role serves as the vital link between our sales and service departments, coordinating mid-range project logistics from contract award through completion while overseeing material procurement for our service agreements. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple priorities while maintaining strong relationships with customers and team members.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with sales team to receive and manage new service projects
- Procure materials and equipment according to project specifications
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Work with service department to set project schedules and allocate technician resources
- Arrange crane picks with crane company and job site personnel
- Coordinate project scheduling and site access with facility managers
- Identify potential project problems and implement solutions
- Monitor daily progress and provide detailed updates to project managers and stakeholders
- Follow up with customers after project completion
- Manage and order materials for PM contract on a monthly basis
- Track warranty issues and follow up with manufacturers on defects
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years project coordination experience in commercial/industrial HVAC, MEP, or similar service industry
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment preferred
- Experience with procurement and vendor management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to organize priorities based on project deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
