As an Ice Machine Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our client receive top-notch service and support for their ice machine needs. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various manufactures and models of commercial ice machines in diverse settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a customer-oriented mindset. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and providing prompt, efficient repairs to minimize downtime for our clients. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, as well as strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients. In addition, you will need to manage your schedule efficiently to meet appointments and adhere to safety protocols while working with electrical and mechanical systems. Key Job Duties
- Diagnose and repair various models of ice machines efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance services to extend equipment lifespan.
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitizing for all brands of ice machines.
- Respond to service calls and prioritize tasks according to urgency and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate service records for each job performed.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and solutions clearly.
- Provide training and support to customers on proper ice machine usage.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures during all service activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Self-starter
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- EPA Refrigerant Certification
- 5 yr minimum proven experience in repairing and maintaining commercial ice machines.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems and basic electrical components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Unencumbered US Drivers license
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
