Salary Range : $71,294.95 - $89,118.69

  • This is a 5-year grant funded position

Schedule : Full Time, 40 hours per week. Benefit eligible.

Position Summary :

The Main Library Program Manager is responsible for creating, developing, planning, and implementing innovative programming for adults ages 18 through seniors at the Main Library. This position also involves community initiatives and developing partnerships.

Essential Functions :

  • Strategic planning for public programs at the Main Library.
  • Building the Library’s reputation within the community.
  • Monitoring quality and consistency of programs.
  • Developing and maintaining community partnerships.
  • Growing Library users and impact.
  • Strategic Leadership :

    Monitor trends and anticipate customer needs. Build out signature program framework for Main Library. Coordinate publicity with Library Marketing & Communications.

    Organizational Development :

    Organize adult functions to achieve mission and develop policies specific to programs.

    Resource Development :

    Consult with the Main Library Manager and collaborate with Library Leadership team on needs and grant opportunities.

    Financial Stewardship :

    Manage operating expenses within budgets and work with the Library Foundation on grant funding.

    Minimum Qualifications :

    Minimum of five years of leadership experience in libraries, museums, or educational spaces.

    Education :

    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as arts administration or public administration. Combination of relevant education and experience accepted.

    Preferred Qualifications :

    Proven track record in overseeing programs, extensive experience in public programming, and strong relationship-building skills.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

    General knowledge of library functions, project management skills, excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Computer Skills :

    Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite.

    Work Environment :

    Office setting with moderate noise.

    Selection :
