Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety for patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with various types of medical devices, including Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on a variety of medical devices.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to assist in the repair process.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Provide field service support, ensuring timely responses to equipment issues in clinical settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure that medical equipment meets operational requirements.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical technology and best practices in equipment maintenance.
- Clean and Maintain all equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Equipment Technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Familiarity with DME, OEM products, and calibration processes.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical documentation.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with healthcare staff.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
