Accounts Payable Specialist – Hybrid (Long Beach, CA)
Location: Hybrid –Long Beach, CA 90802 (In-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remote on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)
Pay Rate: $23.21 per hour
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
This is a temporary role with strong possibility of converting to direct hire!
About the Role
Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support its accounting team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for full-time conversion. The ideal candidate will have strong job tenure and prior experience in accounts payable (AP).
Responsibilities
- Perform check runs and process expense reports
- Enter invoices and match with purchase orders (POs)
- Assist with month-end closing, expense allocation, and reconciliation
- Research statements and verify outstanding invoices
- Ensure invoices have proper approvals and supporting documentation
- Maintain compliance with company policies and HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Strong data entry and invoice processing skills
- Familiarity with GL account coding and financial reconciliation
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: In-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remote on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Additional in-office days may be required for end-of-month check runs
- A second monitor will be required for remote work
- Candidates must maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies
