Our client, a major hospital system, is seeking a CVOR Certified Surgical Technician to join their team in Jackson, MI!
Pay: $56.00 to $ 58.00 an hour
Shift: Days/ 630am – 5pm (10-hour shift) o One night on-call o One weekend – on-call about every 5 weeks (depending on demand/vacations)
Experience:
- 1 year of CVOR experience
- Open Heart, replacement and creation of valves, bypass, endovascular and open vascular cases.
-BLS required and must be maintained per hospital policy.
Responsibilities:
-The CVOR Tech performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients.
-Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, responsible for the handling or surgical instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures.
-Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the assigned surgical team.
-Also provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services and assisting surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
-Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures
Education:
-Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program - Required
